Hi Tyler,

Well, unless your hard drive is failing, or you actually didn't copy it
properly, there's no reason why the folder would be missing from the
location to which you copied it. Are you certain you copied the correct
folder?
In Windows XP, although I'm using Window 7 and so I'm guessing from memory,
would be:
C:\Documents and Settings\your name\AppData\Roaming\GW
Micro\Window-Eyes\users\default
Note that "your name" above would actually be your user account name.
Although it seems frustrating, what else can we do but start over in a
situation like this.

Sorry,

Rod

Subject: Recovery

Hi all,
I had to uninstall my copy of window-eyes. I backed up my previous
users default folder, and put it in a different folder so I would not
lose it. When I uninstalled it, I had to use the emergency removal
tool. After reinstalling we, I went to the folder that I put my users
default folder in to get it so I could move it and restore settings.
To my surprise, it was gone!
At least three years of settings gone!
Does anybody know of a way to recover it?
I am using windows xp pro sp 3.
 Thanks for any help!
 Take Care,
 Tyler Juranek
