ok, got it, figured it out. thanks a lot. forgot there was the open
settings option in the file menu. for the record, it takes a restart of
we to make the changes work.

Hi Dave,
You find the Format alert setting under Screen, Other, and you would tab
over to Format alert.
First, ensure the Scope is set to Global, and tabbing to the next control,
a radio button, it should be set to Off.
Then saving it should do the trick.
Now this should work only if every set file you use has the Format alert
setting set to Scope: global, and setting: Off.
Clear as mud? smile

Well, it works accept it won't save the settings for it's own set file.
I guess i could go in and manually change it in, what, wineyes.set?

Hi Dave,
Try Insert-Qwerty-5, the Format Alert toggle.

Subject: punctuation within window-eyes control pannel
Hi, is there a particular way I could turn off the verbosity of
punctuation within the Window-Eyes control panel itself? It keeps saying
"two spaces" for every menu item I come across. So if it says, app
status puldown. It actually reads it as "app status two spaces pull
down." But how do I change that if it's in the control panel itself?
Make sense?
Thanks, Dave
