Hi Samuel,

Yes, I see, and yet my BookShare subscription allows me to open my
subscription downloads with Kurzweil.

Of course, BookShare does not encrypt their books, only add a copyright
notice on page one, and trust their clients to do the right thing.

Hth,

Rod

Hello Rod, Thank you, that is useful. However, I believe Overdrive books
are protected, and since they can be borrowed, that might cause problems.

Hi Samuel,

Just to let you know, EPub format is readable with Kurzweil 1000.

Subject: Reading Overdrive Books with Window-Eyes

Hello everyone,

I am thinking of joining the Overdrive borrowing service. However, I was
wondering how easy it is to read books from them with Window-Eyes. There
are 2 formats that are quite common, Overdrive Read and Adobe EPub. How
easy is the overdrive read system to use with Window-Eyes, what programme
is used to read their EPub books, and how easy is it to use with
Window-Eyes?

Regards,

Samuel Wilkins
