Hello,

I had an opportunity today to take a look at Dragon NaturallySpeaking 13.
Before I begin I want to state that I was very impressed with Dragon
NaturallySpeaking 13. I highly recommend this program to anyone, that has a
use for voice dictation.

As users of Dragon NaturallySpeaking will no, It is necessary to change the
keyboard assignments from their defaults to avoid conflicting with screen
reader functions. In previous versions of Dragon NaturallySpeaking. This
dialogue presented hotkeys in a list of buttons and it was necessary to use
the mouse cursor to determine what hotkeys were defined. Nuance has
redesigned this dialogue. It makes a lot more sense, and is definitely more
accessible.

When you navigate to the hotkeys section of the options dialog box in the
Tampa order you see reset to defaults button, edit button, and then a list
view listing all of the hotkeys with the okay, cancel, and apply buttons.

It seems to me that the tab order should be changed to the list view, edit,
reset to defaults, okay, cancel and apply, due to the fact that you cannot
edit anything until you have selected from the list view the hotkey that is
to be edited.

Unfortunately, this dialog box has a serious problem. The problem is that
with every screen reader that I have tried it on as soon as the list view to
select the hotkeys gets focused Dragon will crash. I discovered that this
is a problem with user interface automation I was able using Window-Eyes to
set user interface automation to 0, which disables it in the wineyes.INI
file. Then I was able to focus this list view and to work with this list
view without any problems using Window-Eyes. I thought I should report this
to AI squared, so that they could confirm whether or not the bond is
reproducible on other machines, and to inform nuance of the problem with
suggestions on how it might be corrected. I also am reporting it here to
the list, so that anyone using Dragon NaturallySpeaking 13, who wishes to
change the hotkeys will know the workaround for the moment, so they might do
so.

Thank you for reading and I hope this helps.
