Hi, David. I would go to the Window-Eyes Control Panel and look at your
Punctuation settings under the Screen node. You can tell if they are set to
Program or Global and whether they are turned on or off. For example for
Internet Explorer, mine are set to Global and are turned off, so I don’t hear
punctuation. I don’t recall them being on when I first installed Window-Eyes,
but again, I would check your Punctuation settings.

Subject: punctuation

Hi Everyone,

I just this week purchased a new computer so have been reinstalling everything
onto the new computer.

When I installed WE 8.4 I did something wrong in the punctuation settings.
When documents or emails are read I do not hear the periods, comma’s or
anything like that.

But when on the web I hear all ppuntuation.

The best example I can give is with facebook.. When I arrow down the list that
says search, profile, friends, messages, notifications and so forth if I have a
message or notification WE will say notifications left paren, 3, right paren

This is driving me crazy so if anyone can tell me how to go into the WE
settings and change this it would be greatly appreciated. Thanks so much in
advance.

                                                           Happy Halloween,

                                                           Dave
