I have a TrippleTalk USB. I admit I don't use it a lot, but if my sound card
goes bad, it's available. I did download adriver for it, but it is available
from, I believe, Access Solutions.

I would recommend the TrippleTalk USB. I should be plug and play, so you
won't have to install drivers. It's a good thing you want an external
synthesizer, because they do still have uses, as they are more responsive
than software ones, and, although they don't sound as natural, they take up
less system resources and sound much better at higher speeds and pitches.
