Hi Walt,
As someone already posted, you can uninstall any software you don't want
to use on your computer.
I use Microsoft security essential and the windows firewall, and
recommend them highly..
If you need sighted help removing the software, send me an email and
I'll help you out remotely.

Hi all,
I am getting a new computer because my old one has died.
I am getting a 15 inch del laptop and just found out it has
Maccafee antivirus and security installed. I don't believe it is
accessible as far as the firewall is concerned. Does anyone know if I
can remove it and if I do will it violate the warranty on the
computer. Also if I remove it is there an accessible way. The last
time I did it I needed sighted help because the removal tool was not
accessible. Thank you all in advance,
Walt
