Hello, I have a Dell E6520 here at work. Although I use Windows 7, I don't think that will make any difference.
You use the FN Button in conjunction with the function buttons as below: Press the FN button followed by the keys below to do: F1 Sleep F3 Scroll Lock F5 Disable Touch Pad, toggle button to go through the various options F8 Display goes to external display Home Sys Req (seems to do nothing) End Print Screen Insert Pause Up arrow Screen display brighter Down arrow Screen display dimmer to copy the entire text of the active window to the clipboard using Windows-Scroll Lock, or to append it with Alt-Windows-Scroll Lock. Three small recess buttons on top left of PC, Left mute Centre is volume down, right is volume up. hear the window text that would be captured with Shift-Windows-Scroll Regards, John.
