Hi.
I'm running into several problems with the beta. First, the W.E. cursor and mouse appear to follow each other. In version 8 I was able to put the W.E. cursor on a spot on the screen, and if the mouse moved, I could find my information with the W.E. cursor where I had last left it. If there's a setting in Window-Eyes that I can change to separate these cursors I'd like to know about it. Also, in the about screen I'm not finding the version of Window-Eyes that I'm running. I'm assuming that it's version 9 beta 1, but I'm not able to use the mouse to read the information. These are minor issues, however, compared to a possible bug I've found. Here's the problem I'm encountering. I use this PC to organize my music. I like to organize by year. I listen to each file to check quality, then if it is good enough I move it to the year it came out. There are two problems I'm encountering. First, in Window-Eyes version 8 I would move the W.E. cursor to the bottom of the window, and move up to find the year of the mp3 file as it's displayed in it's tag. With version 9 I'm not finding this from the bottom of the window. Here's one possible bug. I can move the W.E. cursor to the bottom of the window, and continue on down from there to find more information. The year in the mp3 tag is in this location, but it's beyond what Window-Eyes thinks is the bottom of the maximized window. Now for the more serious bug. I move the file to the folder corresponding to the year the track came out. I try to use Window-Eyes to double check the year to make sure I have things right. Window-Eyes stops speaking, and I have to restart it. It restarts quite quickly. I suspect that the problem is Window-Eyes is seeing the cursor at an invalid location. Just reporting what I've discovered so far. Overall, I'm having no problem with the beta other than what I've reported. Just for your information. Have fun and don't work too hard.
