Hi. will test ff in a minute but with tb, because messages are loading
in browse mode, you can use the f8 browse mode selections to copy info
from messages.
Just tried this before I wrote this message to confirm it and it does
work correctly.
Brian.
also, I can confirm that when using back space in a message composing
window, I get a ding on every space character. Imho echoing space would
be better although this isn't a deal breaker. once I get used to it, it
is fine.
Brian.

I know the bugs have not yet been removed from FF and TB, but I wish
to make these two issues known.
First, When in FF, every line (when manually arrowing down the page)
speaks the word "link" even if there is not a link present. I am
currently using version 16, I believe.
Second, there does not seem to be a way to select more than one line
of text for copying text from within Thunderbird unless I am in edit
mode. This is a big issue as I often need to copy information from my
messages. Sometimes, I can manage to copy one line at a time, but at
other times, if I try pasting said information to the document I am
using, the information may be something I copied several times prior
to the current copy and paste. Thank you for any suggestions or
workarounds.
Carol
Also, this just happened to me: After typing this message, I went
back to the top of the screen and read the message to the end. Once
the message was finished reading, WE kept saying
Blank blank blank blank blank
Blank blank blank blank blank
Blank blank blank blank blank
