FWIW, sighted people typically don't shift-arrow to select text on a page; 
there's no visible cursor in a browser without jumping through some hoops. So 
shift-arrow selection is an AT-specific kind of feature. I believe we've 
already stated that  we will add shift-arrow support in the future. Right now, 
F8 is how you do it.
