Hi Jim

In the meantime, you can use NVDA to read the screen with the physical mouse while waiting for Window-eyes to add the feature. For myself, I am also sad to know that it will not be added into the upcoming version of WE. If it is not too much of work, since we can now read with keyboard mouse to read the screen, I hope that GW Micro or AI Square can re-consider their plan to put the feature in WE version 9. Thank you.

Hi Doug

I was very disappointed to read that reading web pages with the physical mouse will not be possible in WE 9.

I have been getting by using IE 8 waiting for WE 9 before upgrading IE because I was expecting WE 9 to include reading with the physical mouse. Being able to quickly survey a web page by moving around the page with the physical mouse is a great benefit to low vision users. Restoring the ability to use the physical mouse to read web pages was by far the feature I was most looking forward to in WE 9. It would be a great help if you could include this feature.

Thanks very much.

This is certainly on our list but not likely in 9.

I note with thanks that the reading the screen with the mouse in the new browse mode is back. However, I also note that it only works when one is moving the mouse by keyboard. May I know if AI Square has any plan to include moving the mouse with the physical mouse. This will be most useful for low vision users. I do not think any other screen readers has this feature and Window-eyes used to be able to do it. Thank you.
