Hi,
You can do it two ways.
Way one:
Go to the Window-eyes control panel, press alt-f, then f. move to default
global settings and hit enter and answer yes to overwrite everything.
Way two: |More destructive.
Go to the Window-eyes control panel with control-backslash.

1. Press alt-f for the file menu.

2. Press E to explore profile.
You are in your user profile, press backspace one time.

3. Arrow to default and press delete and answer yes.

4. Close and restart Window-eyes.

This will reset Window-eyes to default settings and rebuild your default
profile.

Subject: How to restore to factory settings?

I mean everything, not jus set files. I was changing some settings, think I was
somewhere in verbosity, when my keyboard started having problems. Apparently
between fussing with the thing and changing batteries while being too lazy to
shut down the system, something or things got changed. Of course, I had to go
and make it worse by trying to correct things without any advice. Post changes,
Window Eyes no longer reads the elements of the tree view. It will tell me I am
in a tree view when I enter it, but then will only tell me how many levels I am
in. They keyboard navigation will read the information about which setting I am
in once I tab out of the tree view, but it will only read me the number of a
check box, not which option the checkbox is. The mouse does the opposite. It
tells me which option is s selected, but not what is being set to yes, no or
whatever. These issues also seem to effect everything else, in Windows Live
Mail, I can get the info about an email in my box, but only after it tells me
the number, like 279 of508 and then a pause long enough that at first I thought
it wasn’t hoing to read it. The same thing happens with any list of items in
windows from the Desktop on, sometimes it never does read the information or
else I am not being patient enough. I get no feedback from pressing backspace.
It deletes the previous letter fine, but it only gives me a ding as an audio
reminder that it is doing something.

I will happily start all over with customizing my settings if it will mean
that this problem goes away.

any help greatly appreciated,

Chris
