I have checked and the key is defined correctly in the IE and WLM set files. Furthermore, I wonder why it would not operate correctly in a couple of situations and correctly for the rest.

check in the cursor menu for the backspace.
mine is set to prior character before.
maybe one of your set files are useing other setrtings.
i don't think the betas are over writing the set files. so if the set file
is wrong it would continue to be wrong.

Subject: Read To End and Backspace

Read to end works better now, but backspace is still a problem. Only dings
occur in IE edit boxes. I still have the problem where the backspace key
doesn’t speak when backspacing from the end of text in the body of a
message in WLM 2012. It works properly in the other edit fields. I am using
Windows 7 64-bit pro, IE 11, and WLM 2012. If you reply to this message it will be delivered to the original sender only.
