this is also the same for thunderbird latest build, i can read the to
subject fields, just find when composing, but when wanting to do alt 1
and the like to read from, date, and subject they no longer work the way
it used to.

There are three irritations I have noticed still in the second beta, both
using Firefox 34. They also existed in FF 33. I have noticed none of these in
IE 11.
In case it matters: I have auto browse mode turned off and I have
Window-Eyes set to read nothing upon entering a page.
1. Upon first entering a Web site, it seems like focus is lost. Using the
arrow keys to start moving down the page yields silence, even after allowing
ample time for the page to load. The quick-navigation keys also do not work.
After tabbing once or twice, things start to work the way one would expect.
2. On the Amazon (non-screen reader optimized) site, starting at the top of the page, using
the quick-navigation key to find the next combo-box, yields the message "no
combo-box." However, moving to the edit box, hitting <ENTER> and then shift-tabbing
lands me in the combo-box.
3. I hear "list list list ..." and "end list end list end list ..." far too
frequently when arrowing up and down Web pages. This happens on numerous sites but can be observed
on the amazon site.
In IE 11, when typing a URL in the CTRL-l dialog, Window-Eyes repeats itself too much. I.E. If I start typing
"www.ama" the IE suggestion guesses correctly that I am typing "www.amazon.com" and Window-eyes starts to
read the auto-complete text, but IE insists on putting the "/" at the end of the URL. Since I'm stubborn and insist on
typing the URL myself, Window-Eyes shuts up once I type the next character. The irritation occurs once I have finished typing.
I don't put the "/" at the end of my URL. Once I have stopped typing I hear "slash" about a half dozen
times. I would only expect to hear it once.
Another item of interest is that I can no-longer get WE to read the "TO," "FROM" and
"SUBJECT" etc. headers using the Outlook hotkeys. I'm using Outlook 2010. This issue only seems
to occur in messages I have received as I was just able to read those fields in this message during the
composition process. I don't recall making any changes to my Outlook settings recently. I'm pretty sure I
used to be able to read the headers in question at some point in the past.
