I have found that as long as the mouse pointer is in one of the corners, the selected desktop icon will work normally when pressing the enter key. The desktop now works the same as Windows Explorer on a Windows 7 computer. If the mouse is not in a corner, focus will jump around. This did not happen in beta 1.

Subject: new beta 2 issues

I have experienced a couple of things that may have broken between beta
1 and beta 2. First, on my desktop, when I have an icon highlighted,
sometimes, another program will open instead of the one that WE read.
This has happened to me at least three times. The action is similar to
what used to happen in Windows Explorer. In that situation, if the
mouse pointer was somewhere else in a list, focus would jump. It
appears the same thing is happening now on the desktop. In order to
make sure the icon I selected stays selected long enough to press enter
on it, it has become necessary to make sure the mouse pointer is at the
top or bottom of the screen.

Another thing that has happened today is that when opening messages in
Thunderbird, WE says application main window twice, speaks the first
line of the message, speaks the subject line and then stops speaking the
message instead of reading the message. I have tried opening messages
with the Thunderbird app opened and closed and get the same result.
I am running a Dell desktop Windows 7 64bit pc.
