Hi, Using Window-eyes 9 beta, I was successfully able to remove McAfee from Windows 8 on an Acer all-in-one. Window-eyes saw it as a web page and I was able to check the items I wanted to remove and hit the remove button.
Note: using Window-eyes 8.4 I was not able to remove McAfee from the system.. Dell likes to put the ubitiquous McAfee programs on it. Now, McAfee seems pretty hard to remove, without sighted assistance. For the most part, the uninstall procedure wasn't accessible with Window-Eyes. I had to install the demo of the Shark to use the Convenient OCR feature to get around the dialogs enough to remove the McAfee software. Anyone know of a faster, easier way to accomplish this?
