Faster than windows 7? No Bob! Absolutely not! Windows 8 is like being
at a traffic light. t sits there, and sits there without doing anything.
still say it's a dud. Apple is much superior because you don't have to
spend hundreds of dollars on a screen reader. When i saw the price of
screen readers, i just about lost my lunch. Right now i'm using window
eyes beta, but i also use the number one screen reader that has everyone
beat, and that's system access. Nothing can beat that except an apple
computer.

Hi,
I see all of this bashing of Windows 8.1 and I must say that I have to
strongly disagree! Windows 8.1 is Microsoft's attempt to bring smart
phone apps to the desktop. In Windows 8.1, you can use those apps or
simply delete or ignore them. The desktop is still there and security
has been enhanced. No OS is perfect, including apple's, but I find
Windows 8.1 faster than seven and more crash proof than earlier windows
versions.
