If you have another anti-virus program running, you don't need Windows defender.

Subject: Windows Defender Question

Good Morning,

A couple of days ago when I was working with WindowEyes and Windows 8, I
think I might have hit a key combination that inadvertently turned off
Windows Defender. For just a moment I thought a message flashed on the
screen saying that Windows Defender was turned off. However the message
disappeared. I tried to find Windows Defender but couldn't find
anything except some commands to scan etc. Anybody know where I can go
to see if Defender is running? Thanks in advance for any suggestions.
