Hi: I run WE 8.x on a 64 bit machine and this is a problem as well. Sometimes right, left or read to end will just give me a ping ping ping even though there is data in the EditBox. This most often happens in the google page when typing in a search string. I still use the Accessible version but it has happened in other pages from time to time. Often closing the page and restartting IE will work, sometimes I have to close the page, then open something like Notepad and then reopen the page if just restarting IE doesn’t work. If just in google search this is an annoyance. If I am in a page, or series of pages where I have allot of time involved it is unacceptable - or would be if I were the programmers behind this bug. The only way to determine what had been typed was to press the up arrow key or delete the lot and start again. This problem does not happen all the time but very annoying when it does. Like others have previously mentioned on this list, pressing the backspace key in the latest version of TBird, does not always speak the characters either. Neville.
