O.k.: definitely my mistake as it relates to Internet Explorer at least. I still like the f8 development, as it makes for easier braile display confirmation of seelected row, but I do think selection by shift-arrows will be reinstated

You can't use the control arrows to select larger blocks of text and, in my opinion, this is a huge step back.
