And, here is the comment from the author of the Extended Dictionary.
All of you, who has been users of the Extended Dictionary and its
acompanying appnamed "Capture Spoken Phrases", were asked to accept a
license agreement, when you first installed the app. Even during each
and every update. The very beginning of that agreement reads:
You - the end-user of the Extended Dictionary package - are granted
the rights to use this app, free of charge, on any computer within the
license periode.
Although the app is granted to you all, free of charge, each version
from day one, has been licensed only for a prefixed period of time. I
won't go into details why, other than remind you that your benefit of it
all, is that you always will stay up-to-date - with the newest release
running.
The message you all have been receiving the last few days, clearly
states that it is an
Important Message,
From the Extended Dictionary app.
As such, it should not be anything confusing which app gave you the
message, neither what the message was all about.
In case, anyone of you have a better way of more clearly stating which
app gives the message, or why, I am all listening ears. The message will
be spoken the last few days of your license period, and that is so as to
prepare you why your app will not start, should you ignore to update the
app. Since the package is licensed for a preset period, I found it being
the better service to you as the end-user, to have a pre-warning. Or,
would you all much prefer to simply just open your computer one morning,
and realize the app refusing to start - all leaving you bewildered why?
Again, I am open for inputs here.
This message has been there from day one, even from the very first Beta
cycle started nearly three years ago. Yet, in most cases, the new
versions have been released in time for the package to update before the
license expired. That is why, most of you may not have received it before.
For numerous reasons, the newest version of the package did not make it
to the public, until this very morning. I do apologize for the
inconveniences.
As a solution to it all, please note this everyone.
All You Have To Do, Is To Upgrade To The Newest Version!
Your license will automatically be renewed, and you won't hear any more
of that message for a good long while. Enjoy it.

Yes, I am receiving this message also although mine is now telling me
that the licence is now expired. An error message was displayed but I
just ignored it.
It is all part of the extended dictionary app but have no idea why it
is saying the licence is expired when the app is free.
Hopefully the author of this great app will make a comment to the list.
