For what it's worth I haven't used my default sound device for speech
for years and have never had this problem. I do occasionally switch
speech to my default device and it works fine until I switch it back.
But I've never had it take it upon itself to choose to use another
device. And I have a third device as well.
Regards,
Tom

Hi Reg,
Yes, their seems to be a bug in setting a sound preference in window
eyes. The only setting that seems to work reliably is to set window
eyes to use the default sound,
Fortunately for me, winamp does not have this problem, and I have my
music set to use another sound card

Hi all
I have Vocalizer Samantha on a machine with multiple sound devices. I
have set Samantha to come through a USB device, but it doesn't seem to
stick reliably. Unhelpfully, I can't say when or why it changes, either
to the default card or to a firewire device I have.
Also, as in previous versions of W-E, I find that it is more stable if I
shut it down after log in and restart it. Does anyone else find this to
be true? I'm running W-E9B2.
