I've noted here a couple times that Read-to-end seems to go dead even when MSAA is on, and no Insert Key layout seems present on the system. Here's what may be happening:
As the beta cycle progresses, one sometimes is forced to use a backup screenreader, often and in my case NVDA. It's a known issue that when switching back to W.E. from NVDA, browse mode wouldn't work. I'm thinking that in the current state of things, browse mode now works, but Read-to-end doesn't. I can't document whether a particular session where read=to=end has failed has also included use of NVDA within the Web; however, it probably did. So the two screenreaders are playing a bit better together, but still quarreling. Any improvement is good, right? -- "Hope laid upon hope, that this crowd will not subside..."
