Forgot to mention that I'm using Windows 7 home premium 64-bit and the latest We beta.

I don't know if this behavior existed in WE 8.4 because I hadn't owned 8.4 long enough to discover this oddity. If you did not understand what it said or wanted the file name spelled you could use Insert numpad 5 to spell the word. This function no longer works with beta 3 on a Windows 8.1 64 bit machine.
