Hi Chris,
As the documentation mentions, there is a new intelligent method of reading column and row headers implemented in WE 9.0, based on your most recent navigation. My suggestion is that you simply use Control-Shift-H to change to the setting of “No headers” and see if you get less verbosity. Hth, Rod From: Chris [mailto:[email protected]] Sent: Sunday, January 25, 2015 1:45 AM To: [email protected] Subject: Changing verbosity of tables I am still looking for a way to get Window Eyes to read table information as it did in the past. For example, on the forum I am reading right now, www.blu-ray.com, each thread displays each post as its own table and it displays 40 per page. In the past Window Eyes would say ‘Table 1’, ‘Table 2’ and so on. Now it reads ‘Table, 3 rows, 2 columns’ for all of the tables. I don’t really care how many rows and columns each table has. This is extraneous, even unwanted information to me. I want to know which table I am on. To top it off, the reading of the unwanted table information often makes it difficult to hear the information about whether the post is old or unread. Sometimes that information is read close enough to the table information that it is hard to understand and other times the table information seems to be read over the message status information. I have tried to change settings to get the verbosity back to the way it used to be, but so far I have had no luck. I would like to know if there is a way to change settings so that things are read the way I want them read or if not, I would like to request that the missing verbosity options be returned in a future update.
