Great to hear that the video player now works. It previously did not, so clunky is better than nothing. Personally, since I have an iPhone and an ipad as well as an Apple TV, I prefer to use the Amazon Instant Video app along with Airplay to stream video to my TV. I keep hoping that Amazon will make a deal with Apple to add Instant Video to the Apple TV. I know they compete, but if they agreed to allow their video streaming devices to play each other's content, I think they would actually make more money, but maybe I am wrong.

I have the Music app, but haven't used it. It is very much like iTunes radio and Google's music streaming service. Lots of songs and no membership fee if you are a Prime member.

The Kindle lending deal for Prime members is pretty much a joke. You get to borrow one book per month from the list of available titles. All of the free Kindle books are free whether you are a Prime member or not. They do, however, have a book subscription service separate from Prime. I think it is still $9.99 a month and offers unlimited use of the library of titles, but I am not absolutely certain about that. I have been considering signing up even though I mostly buy books and prefer owning to borrowing. The extra perk that tempts me is that there are a large number of Audible books in the lending library for that service. I need to check and find out if there are enough titles, both Kindle and audible that I won't want to read again. If there is a good number, I think it would be worth the price.

When you said you only use the video streaming do you mean you have never used the Prime shipping rates? To me, that is the main reason for having Prime. Every other feature is just a bonus to me. Of course, when I first signed up, the shipping was the only feature.

Anyway, hope this cleared up some details for you and the OP. Hopefully none of this information is out of date.

HTH,

Chris

Hi: I use it but it Is clunky but better than Netflix or Hulu.
Most things are links and the search box works well if you refresh the screen if necessary, I forget but I tend to do it whether necessary or not. I was able to turn the sound up and down by navigating to the frame or whatever the movie was running in, again I forget, and then something like the up and down arrow keys changed the sound levels - I didn’t find it googling but just by playing with it and it does work. I have no other features since that is about all I do when using Prime so far and havent tried the sound in many months so forget or would have given you exact instructions, sorry. They also have allot of free books with Prime and Music and all that jazz but I have never looked at what is required to use them - perhaps someone else will have that and books and audio like music would be fun as well as the movies me thinks. Well, that’s all I have without going into Prime and figuring out the steps and sound adjustments again. I just pick a tv series then add them to my favorites in IE 11 for watching episodes in that season.
