Brian,

Drag and drop is to do just that on a single element such as a tool bar, column header, etc. So when you mark that one element you can move the mouse and drop it. This is the same way the physical mouse works.

The way you can select text to copy and paste with the mouse is to emulate the way it's done with the physical mouse. 1. Move the mouse pointer to the start of the text and press the toggle mouse left button key, Insert-Numpad-Slash by default.
2. Move the pointer to the end of the text and press the toggle key again.
This is equivalent to a sighted person holding down the left button and moving it over text to select it.
3. Press Control-C to copy to the clipboard.
4. Open the program you want to paste the text into and press Control-V to paste.

Hth,
Tom

Hi list, a few days ago, i wrote that i was having trouble highlighting
text on a web page, and coppying and pasting it. i have had this problem
only since i installed the lates wineyes. as i haven't had an answer, i
have tried to use the drag and drop. the instructions seem pretty clear,
but when i get to the second mark, i choose drop, and i am returned to
the text in question. there seems to be nowhere to say where i want the
drop to go. presumably i have to choose and editor. can someone advise
me how to use the drag and drop, or can technical check if their version
of wineyes will let them highlight text on a web page, and coppying and
paste it. brian.
