Jim, the program is there and an app to run it in the start menu. You can even create a desktop icon for Word or Outlook by using the context menu to get to the folder containing the executable for those programs. In Windows 8.1, go to the start menu and use control tab to get to the list of apps and programs. Next, press the application key and arrow down to go to file location. Once there, highlight the program executable and use the send to command in the context menu to send a shortcut to the desktop.

Hi Folks: Perhaps someone on this list knows the answer to this question. I have installed office 365 (Home & Business) addition on both my windows 7 and windows 8 computers. On my Windows 7 computer it installs as a standard program while, in Windows 8, it is install as an app. Question: how can I install Office 365 on my Windows 8 pc as a program and not an app? Thanks all over the place gang. If you reply to this message it will be delivered to the original sender only.
