I hear you loud and clear! yes, my window-eyes has been shutting down at random moments as well, and there doesn't seem to be any rhyme or reason to it. Believe me, I would send some kind of diagnostic stuff to ai squared, but the report error feature does seem to be gone, so there's no way i can do it. I have noticed that, lots of times with a major piece of software, the first release of a new version, something that ends in a .0 like 9.0 usually introduces new features, and subsequent releases contain any bugfixes that need to happen from the .0 release. I am really hoping that some of the stuff we're finding will be resolved in the next update, whenever there is one. i don't mind saying, having more than one screenreader on my system has ben handy of late. I hate to say that but in this case it's true. Lets hope the mysterious crashes will quit in the next update.

I hardly ever complain about Window-Eyes and how it runs. Betas as well as final releases, have always run very well on a variety of systems that I have owned.

However, beginning with the last beta series and then the final release of WE 9, it has been a total nightmare.

Not only are the f8 commands not reliable as have been stated by several other customers, now Window-Eyes is constantly crashing for no reason at all. Thank God, I can get WE to restart without rebooting my machine.

No longer are the error reporting features working, so we can't send that in to the AISquared staff.

Please understand that my goal in finally saying something about this is to be part of the solution. But part of the solution is saying with a loud voice that, in my opinion, this version has been a major setback for Window-Eyes.

Thanks for hearing me out. a total night
