Hello Vicky. We have seen similar behavior when the SyncBraille and the WiFi is used at the same time. Both GW and HIMS are aware of this and we will do what we can to make this better.

Many thanks.

No, I'm not complaining, just posting more observations on my use of the Voice Sense when it locks up. And, I'm starting to think that, in my case, anyway, a good deal of the problem is perhaps caused by too much power being required to run both the WiFi and SyncBraille at the same time when using the unit on battery power only. Yes, I did see in the help info for the VS about the WiFi being turned off if the SyncBraille is connected and the battery percentage gets to 15. However, I'm starting to think there might be problems if the WiFi and SyncBraille are used together even before then, perhaps as early as when the battery gets to 30 something percent. And, of course, I'm talking about when the ac adapter is not connected.

Anyway, when using this combination today with my battery at 20 some percent through all tests, when trying on three occasions to read through a file list, the VS locked up and I had to do the reset, as I couldn't do anything else with the unit. I heard a small kind of popping sound once before the lockup, and the jackhammer sounding noise just before the other two lockups. However, with either my SyncBraille disconnected or the WiFi turned off, I could get through my file list with no problem.

Also, a couple of times when trying to read the VS help info with this same SyncBraille and WiFi combination, I got the lockup, once with the popping sound, while the balloon sound happened the other time. I was reading the Sense Navigation help file for one example, and the unit locked up when I tried to use the find command to search for the topic of interest for me at that time. By the way, I did take the VS and SyncBraille to work with me all this last week, now that I have the combo case, and the Sense Nav worked great for me on the bus each day.
