Hi Raul,
Thanks for that great tip.
We'll be going to Florida in about a week, so I think I'll just continue to
keep it in th ecombo case as I do now while I'm on the trip.
Glad to know I don't need to bring the extra case along.

Hi. It's safe to keep inside the combo case. If you want to put it inside
its original case. Slide it in dots first so they are toward the bottom of
the case. This way the back panel of the unit is facing the open top of
the case. Of course you cannot use it while it's inside its case so only
do this when you want to put it away.
Many thanks.

Is it safe to keep it in the combo case at all times?

Hi Stacey,
No, I don't have that short cable, as I just haven't called GW Micro to
get it--although, I do believe Don does have one. I'm still using the
short cable from the Western Digital Passport drive.
As to putting the SyncBraille in its case, well, grin, Raul did suggest
a way to do it when I first got mine; however, it has been awhile and,
seeing as I've now been able to get the SyncBraille in and out of its
case without a problem, I have to confess I've forgotten which part he
said should go in first. So, what I've been doing, so as to not risk
touching the Braille dots a lot, is to put the display in its case with
the part with the Braille dots going in first. That way, should I need
to grasp the display a little firmly to pull it back out of the case, I
would be getting hold of the top part of the unit, as it would be the
part I would readily feel when I opened the lid of the case.

Hi Vicki,
That's what I needed to know.
Do you have the short cable for connecting the sync braille with
the vs.
Can you describe the bst way to insert the sync braille into its
original
case?

I mostly keep mine in the case that came with it, as it seems to
protect
the unit a bit more that way. Oh, if I were just going to have
the VS out
of the combo case for a short time, say for a quick walk up the
street or
something, then I might just temporarily leave the Braille
display in the
combo case by itself. But, that is not the norm for me, as the
SyncBraille
just seems to me to be safer in its original case.

Hi all,
If you ar not using your syncbraille for some reason, do you
leave it in the
combo case or put it in the case that came with it?
I'm thinking that I'll have mine connected most of the time, but
for those
times when you want to take th evs somewhere without the display
I just
wondered where you keep your syncbraille.
