This is correct. A better solution is to use the beginning and ending computer Braille symbols and type your test this way. For example the following sentence.

My email address is [email protected].

I would write everything up to my email itself as contracted Braille, then for my email address I would use the beginning ing-456 my email address with dot 4 for the at sign and dots-4-6 for the dot. Then end it with 456-wh signs.

Many thanks.

Hi, Mike,

I do not think doing this is a good idea. What I think will happen is when
this is translated as a braille file, that the ASCII characters will be
retranslated, especially if you go back and forth between Braille and ASCII.

Out of curiosity, if you're writing on the Sense, couldn't you
just press Space with G to write a portion of text?

I use "begin computer braile" and "end computer braille" to do
the
trick. "Begin computer braille" is dots 4-5-6, dots 3-4-6 and
"end
computer braille" is dots 4-5-6, dots 1-5-6.

Hello, Paul,

If you press dot 4 in a Braille file, the following character
will not
be translated.

I don't remember this for sure, but I think that by pressing dots
4-5-6
and then dot 4, nothing will be translated until you repeat that
sequence at the end of the section which should not be
translated.

I hope others will correct me if I have it wrong.
