Hello Mike, I think the term "support" was meant more in the context of technical support, rather than supporting it as in using it.

For example, we support the Focus Braille Display, and we will help the user get it connected to the pc and working with Window-Eyes, but we can't offer technical support on how to use the display with something other than Window-Eyes.

Many thanks.

Now wait a minute here.

FS may not support competitors' products. But it certainly does support products other than those it makes; I'm using a DECtalk USB synth right now and it works just fine. Have a Doubletalk PCI at work and it works just fine.

But one probably shouldn't expect support for competitors' products as a matter of realism (not moral truth).

Mike

Hi, Not to discourage you or anything, but freedom scientific doesn't
support any hardware other than it's own, and the displays and synths
it supported at the time that version 5 was released. The best they
will do is tell you it doesn't work as far as they know, smiles. I
had a terrible time with them last year over it.

In any event, the sync braille is a gw product and they do all the
support. So your questions are going to the right place and I hope
you will keep them coming. I'm learning a fare bit from reading and
if some one doesn't know the answer to one of your questions, then I'm
sure raul or one of the other gw'ers will waid in.

Hi all,
I've got my snybraille working with jawas pretty well; however, when
I open a message or a page in Internet explorer the display will
immediately move to highlighted things like links or e-mail
addresses. Then I have to move back to the top to read whatever I
want to read.
Is there a way to stop this behavior? It's almost like the display
is stuck in some kind of advance mode. I don't see anywhere in Jaws
to stop this. I was planning to call freedom scientific tomorrow,
but I really would rather not. Anyone have any suggestions on how I
could make a message or webpage open and have the syncbraille stop
at the top till I move it forward manually.
Thanks, sorry for so many questions. I couldn't find anything about
syncbraille on the FS site.
