I found them, thanks. Most were just test messages but still the thought of 
spending serious thought on an email only to have it vanish into nothing was 
discouraging, thanks for the help.
Now I can go sit outside and answer all my mail LOL.

Tessa, I think I left out a step with you.  When you are in
email, press F 2.  Press M.  Then, go to the storage box.  Press
Enter.  You'll be told how many messages are there.  Just press S
with Enter to send.  But, make sure you do have one of your
accounts set up as a default.

If you want to send from an email account that is not the
default, when you're in the email program, press W with Enter.
When you want to pick the account to send from, just press Space
with dots 1-2.  When you find the account you want to send from,
press Space 4-5 to go to the "send to" prompt.
  I think I am sending this with confusion.  Don, Cliff, you do
this better than me, LOL.
