Hi All, There's a great feature here in terms of Braille translation.
A good example of how this helps is the simple matter of writing contracted Braille or reading it. Let's say we need to put a forward slash into the document. Put a dot 4 just ahead of the s t and the unit will read this as a slash. An in-coming message which has the spash will also read properly, even if the message is an Ascii document. and the Braille translator is running. You'll see the slash and not the s t sign. Not all devices have this feature. Again, as I've said, we can talk about the negative aspects of our Braille Sense 32's, but there are lots of positives. Much depends on what you need at the time you are considering buying a notetaker. If you need RSS, it's not here. If you want it to play NLS books, it won't. If you're in a city and want to listen to FM stations while you do other things, this unit will let you do that. It's e-mail works very well. I'm thinking about a good product which does have RSS and can play NLS books, but the word processor is terrible. It cannot handla long documents as our units can. Joe G.
