Hi Richard,
Actually, HIMS just announced a dedicated book reading machine
that is (I read) supposed to support DAISY books (I'm talking
about Book Sense). As for DAISY, it might be due to formatting
and markup layout of the book.
Cheers,
Joseph

Subject: RE: [GWN] Braille Sense Plus and DAISY
Well, after playing around more with the Newspapers from NFB
Newsline on the
Braille Sense Plus I think having a designated DAISY book playing
device is
preferable. It is not as easy, or effective, moving around DAISY
items on
the BSP. It was very inconsistent when moving by level 2 or 3.
Beside
which, having a much smaller device to take for listening to
DAISY material
could be a nice bonus at times.
Having an all in one device would be nice, but some things just
work better
on some devices than others.
Just my two cents worth to the list.
Richard
