First, I really do like my VS; and, were it not for my already
having two note takers, a VS and a BN, I would have already
likely purchased a BSP. But, wanting to keep my VS, as well as
my BN to always have the latest Sendero GPS, I'm kind of having
trouble justifying the purchase of a third machine.
Also, for my benefit, as well as possibly others, I guess it
doesn't hurt to mention that the current price for the BSP is the
introductory one, thus the price could go up from that at any
time. In fact, grin, if memory serves, it was when I heard that
the VS was going up from its introductory price that I finally
got myself motivated to buy one.
Anyway, since Alex is looking for what might be considered
negative aspects here, I figured I would mention a couple more.
First, unlike the BN, you aren't able to just enter a first name
for a person at the send to prompt when composing an email. You
first, after entering enter W to get to the to prompt, need to
press enter with L to get to the search for address box, then you
type in the last name of the person, and then you arrow to the
person you want and press the spacebar to select the address and
then press enter to have that address put into the to field, and
then you can tab on to the C C field and so on. Now, I have
found that, should you only have one person in your address book
with the same last name, you can, after pressing enter W to bring
up the to field, then just type part of that person's last name
and then tab to the next field and that name will be filled into
the to field for you. However, if you have more than one person
with the same last name, entering an email address this way
without going into the enter L dialog, will result in the first
person in your address list with that last name being put into
the to field.
Second, unlike the BN, you aren't able to access system files and
the like on the VS. Oh, you can connect to ActiveSync and access
the windows folder and the like that way, but you can't access
those types of files while browsing on the VS itself, and I'm
guessing this to be the same on the BSP.
