Hi Karli,

I don't know if others have had the same exact problem, but it's not all that
uncommon for notetakers to glitch every once in a while. They all seem to do
it regardless of brand. It seems to be in the nature of the beast. <smile>

So if something works but suddenly won't work anymore, a reset is usually a
good and also a safe thing to try.

Glad it worked for you.

Don

  Hi Don,

Thanks for suggesting the reset route. I finally had time to try it
yesterday, and am relieved to report that doing so fixed the problem. Just out
of curiosity, do you know if others have had the same issue and will the
problem come back at some later date? Thanks very much again for your help.

    Hi Karli,

You won't loose any data by doing a reset. Just make sure all your
applications such as word processor etc., are closed and that you have no files
open. That's probably not a problem if you save all files before shutting the
machine off.

Also, your settings should remain intact.

    Don

      Hi Don,

Thanks for replying so quickly. No I have not tried resetting the unit
yet. Will doing that delete anything and will it also restore all of my
settings? i am not very tecnically savvy so am a bit nervous taking the reset
route. I should mention, though, when I subsequently tried connecting that
same memory stick with a USB extention cord, that seemed to work all right.
Does that mean that the USB port below the AC adapter jact is broken? I hope
not because my unit is only about one month new. I haven't even had time to
try the internet, email, and daisy functions of the machine yet. .

        Karli,

Did you try doing a reset using the small reset button on the back of
the machine?

          Hello List Members,

I acquired a braille sense plus 32 recently and just encountered my
first major problem. I hope you will be able to help me as I know you have
many other on this list. Basically, today when I connected a memory stick to
the unit, nothing happened. I retried several times, but still no luck. The
thing is that previously, I was able to do this successfully. I went through
the trouble guide section of the manual but could not find anything relevant.
I also looked through the options menu and still could not find anything
useful. Please help. I am very worried about my unit. thanks in advance.

          Karli
