Hi Karli,

If you have home Wireless that is secured with a password, you need to use
that password when it asks for one.
If your wireless router is not broadcasting, so the BSP doesn't see it, you
will also need to know the "SSID" for the router. That is the name either
by default, or what it was given when it was set up.

So, first, Go into Options and go down to where it says Wireless Lan, which
I believe is three up from the bottom of the list.
If it says "Wireless lan off, then hit the space bar to turn it on and hit
enter to save the change.

Then, open the utilities from the main menu and hit the letter i, which will
open "set up internet."

Then, arrow down to Wireless lan and hit enter.

At this point, if any wireless access points are available they will show up
there in a minute or three.

That will be any that are broadcasting. So, you may see a neighbor's or a
business next door if there is one, etc.
Again, if your wireless is broadcasting, you should see it. Hit enter and
if it requires a password, it should ask for one.

If it is not broadcasting, then tab to Add and hit enter.
Then go through the fields and fill in the SSID and pick the kind of
security, if any. Open, is no security. The other two choices are WEP or
WPA.
Select the one that fits yours, and tab to the security key field and fill
in your key/password.
Leave the rest at the defaults and hit confirm, and then tab to close and
hit enter.
Exit out of all that and in a minute or so you should be connected.

It may take a little trial and error.

Hopefully that will get you started.

Enjoy,
Richard

Subject: [GWN] Setting Up Wireless Internet

Hello again list members,

For those of you that may remember, I am the one that had the memory stick
problem, which Don fortunately helped me solve. My apologies for not being
able to provide any help to fellow list members thus far, but rather to once
again ask for your assistance. As I mentioned. I just acquired my braille
sense plus 32 recently so have not had too much time to learn all the ins
and outs of the unit; in addition, I am quite technologically challenged so
please forgive me for some of my questions, which may seem silly to some of
you. I would really appreciate it if someone could give me instructions on
how to set up wireless internet. I have already read through that part of
the manual, but still don't know what to do. I don't know what access
points, incription keys, and ip address to use if any. Thanks in advance
for any help.

Karli
