Thanks for the information. I didn't know the hot key to turn it on and off and I am sure it does affect battery life.

You can close the application. 5 If you hear Access Point and something after that, you are being told the name of a network you can connect to. That name is the SSID. You will hear other information such as sensitivity and the strength of the signal. It may say Excellent, good, low, very low etc. 6 If you have more than one access point, press the down arrow to hear the other ones and stop on the one that you want to connect to. If you are not sure, probably the one with the best signal. Press enter. If this is not a secured connection, you will hear the same sound you hear when you insert an SD card. Now you can press space Z until you are back at the Utilities menu. Go to the browser and press enter to begin your internet session. 7 If this is a secured connection, you will be ask for the security key. You must enter this exactly as it was set up. That is upper/lower case letters must match exactly. Then you can press enter to connect. Since this is a little more complicated, you should probably work over the phone with someone if you have trouble. 8 It is important to note that if you have an access point, it will determine whether you need a security key, what kind of security is being used, I.E. WEP, WPA, or WPA2 or none. 9 When you are finished with your browsing session, and you close the browser or e-mail connection, you can turn off the wireless adapter by pressing the same Enter with dots 1 4 5 6. Leaving the adapter off when not in use will save on battery life. 10 After you have first set up the connection, all you need to do is turn on the wireless adapter. After about 15 seconds, you will hear the connection sound and you can go to your browser. This is because the settings are saved automatically when you set up the connection the first time. My apologies for not being able to provide any help to fellow list members thus far, but rather to once again ask for your assistance. As I mentioned. I just acquired my braille sense plus 32 recently so have not had too much time to learn all the ins and outs of the unit; in addition, I am quite technologically challenged so please forgive me for some of my questions, which may seem silly to some of you. I would really appreciate it if someone could give me instructions on how to set up wireless internet. I have already read through that part of the manual, but still don't know what to do. I don't know what access points, incription keys, and ip address to use if any. Thanks in advance for any help. Karli
