My Braille Sense is almost two years with me. I had a problem about a year ago with my battery giving up after a full charge and the unit resetting to factory defaults. To solve the problem, I connected the unit to electric, turned off power saving mode and let it charge for six hours while the unit was turned on. I forget who told me to charge in that way but I have not had any problems since.
