Hi: I also have to keep a word count for some of the material I submit to groups I belong to. Sure I can do this on the pc, but if I'm doing my writing on the bs+ then why not just do the work, count the words and email it in with one machine. Also I don't want to have to spell check a document every time I need to know exactly how many words it contains, particularly where one might be writing using a dialect where every second word is going to be mispelled in order to make it sound correct. Yes one can get one by spell checking a document but that could be rather tedious if one is just trying to fine tune a file or you just need a word count and don't care about the spelling. Perhaps make word count a separate feature of the spell checker? I wonder why it isn't part of the page feature? When I check what page number I'm on it gives the number of lines and paragraphs so why not the number of words? Tessa
