Hi,
I don't know about the payment plan, sorry.
As for changes that you can expect, it is mainly hardware. No change to
software. As for hardware, you'll get:
* As opposed to BS original, BSP is lighter and the keys are laptop-like
(according to some people in South Korea) and much quieter (according to a
reviewer of BSPQ, which is the QWERTY cousin of BSP).
* The LCD display is somewhat larger.
* Instead of one cursor movement button (called scroll vbutton) on either
side, there are now two of them on either side of the Braille display (you
can set them independently from each other, like whiz wheels on PAC Mate
series).
* The processor is a bit faster (Intel (now Marvell) X-Scale PXA270 at 520
MHz versus PXA255 at 400 MHz).
* There are 128 MB of RAM and 8 GB of Flash. Also, there is an SDHC slot and
a CF slot (instead of two CF slots) so that you can use both CF and SD
cards.
* There are two additional switches and a redesigned power switch: one is
for audio mode switch, another being a key lock switch. In order to turn on
the BSP, you need to push the power switch (on the far right side of the
front panel) to the right side.
* There is now built-in IEEE 802.11G WiFi chip and a Bluetooth chip that
supports file transfers and allows you to use Bluetooth headsets. In
addition, an FM radio chip is also included.
Hope this helps.
Cheers,
Joseph

Subject: [GWN] question on purchasing the braille sense plus

Hi Folks,

I was wondering, if one wanted to upgrade from the Braille Sense original to
the Braille Sense Plus, is there a monthly payment plan so you wouldn't have
to pay for everything at once? I'm curious, because if there is such a
thing, I would seriously think about upgrading. Also, are there a lot of
extra changes and programs added to the BPS FROM THE ORIGINAL? Just
curious.

Thanks for anyone's answers.

Sarah
