I've noticed the BSP has different interpretations for some words and mixed groups than my BN does. So, yes, you do have to check things over when you translate a file from braille to text. I noticed with bot notetakers that I must sometimes break a few rules to get the right back translation.

The BSP seems to understand writing in contracted braille or computer braille, but it doesn't understand uncontracted braille. For example, if I write F4, the number sign will still be interpreted as the b l e sign. But if I write it in CBC, the BSP interprets it right.

Things could be different for me since I'm using the qwerty model.

I have my file preference set to txt but read and write in grade two, so
when I send an email from my bsp I write it in grade 2 but it appears or
should in plain txt, I have to remember to go over it before sending as I've
found some interesting mistakes the average nonbraille user would not
understand.

Terri, I could be wrong, but I thought you could write in grade two.
Raul, what is the correct answer?

Thanks for the correction, Stacey.

I assumed you would have to write in Computer Braille because they are
print files, not braille files.
