Just type the date you want like 10 25 2009 and press enter. That is enter the 2 digit month followed by a space. Do the same with the day and then enter the 4 digit year. After you press enter, press f3 and you will hear the day of week. If you press f3 again, you will hear the date you entered. You can immediately check another date the same way.
