That's what I'm doing, however, pressing s with enter just gets
me "target".

When you get to your storage box, that isn't when you press S
with Enter. Go to the subject of that email, and press Space to
select. Go to the next one, press Space to select. After you
have pressed Space on every email you want to send, press S with
Enter.
