Hi,
Few things:
I heard that the actual capacity is 3000 Ma (correct me if I am wrong) on
the Apex. Also, the processor speed is 533 MHz Freescale product.
Cheers,
Joseph

Subject: [GWN] Some thoughts!

The capacity of the battery in the BrailleNote Apex is 2700MAH. The
battery in the Voice Sense is only 2000MAH. I was under the
impression that both the Voice Sense and Braille Sense Plus used the
same battery, but I'm not 100 percent sure about this.
Therefore, I can't say for sure whether or not the battery capacity
of the Braille sense Plus is 2000MAH.

But here is what really interests me. If and
when Humanware comes out with a VoiceNote Apex, it will most
likely have all the specs and features of the BrailleNote Apex,
except for the braille display, of course. This means for around
$2000 to $2400 it will have a lot more going for it than the current
Voice Sense.
For example:

    1. Built in Ethernet.

    2. More USB ports.

    3. 8GB of flash memory.

    4. A larger capacity battery.

5. The Voice Sense has 128 MB ram, the BrailleNote Apex has 254 MB.

I would respectfully suggest that what we need next year is a Voice
Sense Plus Qwerty, with all the features of the Braille Sense Plus
Qwerty except of course, the braille display.

There is one other thing I can think of that the Braille sense
Plus Qwerty has, that both the BrailleNote Apex and the Voice
sense do not, and that is a separate line in jack.

Another topic for comparison would be the processor speed. I know
the speed of the processor of the Voice Sense is 540MHz, and I have
to assume that the processor speed of the Braille Sense Plus Qwerty is
also 540MHz, but I have seen no written data to confirm this. I also
haven't seen the speed of the processor in the BrailleNote Apex.
