Hello!
Make certain your thumb drive and cable is secured or plugged in correctly
and it is pushed in as it should be. Sometimes I have problems with my
Victor Stream and the cable isn't pushed in as it should be.

My husband helped me with this problem, so I will try to explain what we
did.
We hooked the thumb drive or stick memory, (I'm not sure exactly what to
call it), up to the voice sense after putting a file on it from my
computer. We chose to put the file in the memory stick as a text file.
Then
we went to the file manager, backed spaced and found the flash disk. But
we
couldn't get past the flash disk. The manual said we should be able to
find
the thumb drive name, but I just couldn't get away from the flash disk. I
tried turning the mobile disk on, but that didn't make any difference. I
don't think the Voice Sense was recognizing that it had an external drive
plugged into it. We finally just gave up. I don't think anything is
corrupt,
because I haven't put anything from my computer or anything else onto the
Voice Sense.
I hope this makes sense. I really don't think that putting a file onto my
Voice Sense from my computer should be this difficult. I am probably just
overlooking something. Anyway, thanks in advance for your help.

You should have received a short cable with your Voice Sense. It plugs in
to the Voice Sense and the thumb drive plugs in to that. Then you go to
File Manager, on the Voice Sense, and select the files you want to back
up.
You can back up entire folders if you like. Press space to select them.
Once selected, press enter C to do the copy. Then press the backspace key
until you get back to the list of drives, Compact flash, SD, etc. Up or
down arrow to the stick memory. That is your thumb drive. Press enter to
go in to it. Navigate to the folder, where applicable, where you want to
place the files. Then press enter V to paste them there. HTH Cliff
