Yes, you can do this.

So that I'm clear, you cannot use 2-3 chord or 5-6 chord to jump from
paragraph to paragraph? I realize this is a function of the BrailleNote
devices, but somehow that makes more sense than a single dedicated key for
this type of navigation. If this is true, it's not a deal breaker, but it
is a sore spot.

Subject: [GWN] reading by paragraph
Happy New Year to All,
I just finished catching up on my email and I wanted to make a
few comments
about the BSP'S ability to read by paragraph.
I don't know the BT commands, I've got a QWERTY, but you can
set up the BSP
to read by paragraph using voice or braille. To get the voice
to read by
paragraph, go to the settings menu and arrow down to "reading
unit." Choose
paragraph using the space bar then press enter to save the
setting. You
will now be able to listen to a paragraph when you press the
down arrow or
up arrow keys.
You must set this up every time you open a document.
You can also use the scroll buttons to move by paragraph. You
set this up
using the options menu. This setting is permanent.
Unfortunately, the BSP considers a paragraph boundary to be a
single hard
return. So, if you're reading an ASCII text file or a .brf
file, every hard
return will be viewed as a paragraph.
This isn't good. I was taught a print paragraph boundary was two hard
returns. Some sighted people like to use one hard return
followed by an
indent of 5 spaces. Others like two hard returns followed by
an indent of 5
spaces. A paragraph in a braille document is a hard return
followed by two
spaces.
I hope an upgrade will come out so the user can determine his
or her own
paragraph boundaries.
